The appeal of RE2 is that it plays like 4-6 but is a retelling of 2. 8 playing like RE2 would be a step back.

Shows that Xbox One X while more powerful than the Pro is extremely bottle necked. All the power the gpu has is going to waste. Waste of 500 dollars this late in the gen.

If you're basing that assumption on One X, you'll be disappointed. One X outperformed Pro because it was more expensive AND released a year later. Don't expect something like that when new base consoles are releasing. Both machines will be similar in power. It'll come down to software.
Watch Coco or play Tlou, if you're not moved at all by those pieces of entertainment you can't be human.
Um better graphics? The current consoles can run 4k 60 if the game has PS3 graphics. Did everyone just forget about assets because of this resolution /fps race?
One X games are just 4k resolution PS4 and One games.

I don't understand the penny pinching when it comes to consoles. People want a huge difference from last gen but want it for 300 bucks. Yet we buy thousand dollar phones every 2 years. 500 bucks for something that's a true upgrade is worth it. For crying out loud the Pro and One X are 4 and 500 dollars right now!
PS2 was kept around just as long and is the most successful console ever. PS3 wasn't kept around long just got profit, it's just what Sony does with their home consoles.

@haydenlake Why does everyone point to the Xbox One reveal as to why Xbox lost to PS4? You'd think that PS4 having a better library and Sony having a better worldwide presence has nothing to do with it. Xbox One is within 80 percent of PS4s US sales so the reveal excuse doesn't hold weight anymore.
No, bring back first person. RE7 was the RE game since 4. I think RE2 was just as amazing. It's possible to like both styles. Just alternate between games. Keep first person for the mainline series and use 3rd for the remakes.
